King of Dragon Pass App Reviews

Basically the best game Ive ever played.

I cannot express how much I love this game. Its extremely in depth and the replay value is amazing. I dont think its actually $10 I think youll be charged much less, but either way its worth it. Its a large (100mb) file, but you can play it offline. There are no ads, and absolutely no disappointments. Its a better layout on an IPad, but the game is the same on my phone. I run two games very different from each other on my two devices. Great game for getting a 12+ kid interested in reading. Has the feel of a fantasy book like dragon lance novels, with the control of civilization. It is choose your own adventure style, but unlike other games that basically end up the same no matter what you decide, this game has tons of different paths to victory and defeat. Mad props to the creator of this game. I pray for the gods to bless them and for them to be inspired to add more or create a second sage or prequel.

My favorite game of all time!

This game is so amazing. It is the perfect management game and the storylines presented are vast and enjoyable to read. I cannot wait till the developers finish Six Ages this year ; it is by far my most anticipated game coming out in 2016. KODP is worth every penny and the replay value is through the roof!

Literally the best app on my phone

This has been and is probably the best game in the app store. The depth of storytelling is rivaled only by its incredible artwork and limitless replay value. First became king on my computer over 10 years ago, now I get to play where ever this is the greatest game.

more novel than most novels

This deep, text-driven game engulfs you in a richly described world. In some ways it is the Platonic ideal of Choose Your Own Adventure, because you continually make choices that drive the narrative. However, there are random events, a rhythm driven by the seasons of the year, a complete fantasy culture. In other ways, it resembles FTL in that you have a long-term goal and no take-backs (in the overused inaccurate vernacular, it is "rogue-like"). It costs the same as a movie -- think of it as a deeper experience, even though it lacks the flash of special effects and animation. More novel than most novels, and worth the price.

Most interesting

This is truly a great app, and great game. Well worth the 10 bucks I dropped on it. Ive bought 60 dollar games that give me as much game time as this 10 dollar app. With a interesting story (IMO) hours of gameplay for a single campaign, and excellent replay value, this game has entertained me for many hours. The ONLY quarrel I have personally have with this game, is that it doesnt have multiple save slots for separate campaigns. Which is fine considering the type of game this is, however if at all possible (idk as Im not a game developer) I would love to see this simple (I think?) feature added in a future update. Thanks for the great game.

Amazing

Nonstop action for this interactive game. I sat down trying to play for a few minutes and ended up playing for hours. Beautiful stories! Hopefully they add the Lord of Salty Sea ancient enemy soon.

Awesome addition

Ive been playing this game for many years, and I love the updates that are released periodically. It is an investment up front and worth every penny. The gameplay provides a wide variety of situations, characters, and gods, as well as a fully fleshed out history of the land. I like to play this game over and over. Think "Choose Your Own Adventure" with dinosaurs, raiders, and magic. Its worth your time.

Amazing Fun

Absolutely enthralling game. And the UI is phenomenal. Ive never seen an old computer game better ported to an iPhone. Hours and hours of fun, and so much replay value! A must have for fantasy RPG/strategy gamers.

Incredible game

One of the best games ever!

One of the best games EVER

I have enjoyed this game so many times, over and over. It pulls you into the world of Dragon Pass, and you will not want to leave. Stunning illustrations and complex stories with follow-up events help to build a thrilling plot, and the game never stops being challenging! Best purchase I ever made in the Apple Store.

Cool game man!

What a awesome game I wish that I could live in it

Best game ever!!!

Endless replay value. Blurs myth and history.

Best rpg game

Ive been playing this more then I play games on my laptop or ps4 its awesome

Bad Sim, Beautiful Game

Great concept, just WAY WAY WAY too many rules. It makes the sim VERY difficult to analyze. Results often seem arbitrary. I think with more time invested I could figure it out but Im just not willing to put that kind of effort in.

The quests make no sense

Theres no logic in this game and its impossible to finish a hero quest. I cant believe I spent $10 on it.

Great Roleplaying Game

Ive been playing this game for years and the wonderful development staff keeps making updates. They released this on iOS in 2010 and are still releasing new content! It may take awhile to master the game, but its certainly worth it. Even disastrous playthroughs where you get destroyed by beast men or dragons are fun. I highly recommend this game for dedicated roleplaying and strategy gamers.

Interesting game, but has some flaws.

I love the concept of this game. The art is beautiful and it makes the game a lot more enjoyable. But this game has some flaws. I hate how the decisions you make have seemly random consequences. Also, raiding results seems very random. It feels like there is not much you can do other than accept some random consequences of your actions. Also, some events repeat themselves consecutively. For example, some old lady is found doing evil magic, I resolve this event, only to have the same event show up again a few minutes later. Also, hero quests are very boring and suffer from the same random consequences. But this time you end up losing one of your best clan member for seemly no reason.

Not worth it

Way too expensive for what you get. This app is worth 2 dollars.

Not worth the price

For the longest time I wanted to play this game, but the price tag was keeping me from buying it. Finally over my Christmas break I bit the bullet and picked it up. The first play through or so, I had a lot of fun, the problem is, there really isnt that much to do, and often times youll find yourself doing the same things over and over and over. Also, while the game feels kind of free form, its not really a sandbox style game, at some point youll find yourself being pressured to become a clan, people will start to leave and at some point, unless you become a clan, youll hit a glass wall. In the end I cant really call it a simulation game because its far too much based on luck and "magic". After about 4 or 5 play throughs I got sick of the game and dropped it. Not really worth the price tag.

A Game Like No Other

Not a role-playing game or a Civilization clone, but a storytelling game.
